About Me

Well, I said it on the front page, but in case you forgot already - I'm Kyle. Online, I'm known as MrKsoft, because that's what I picked when I was 9 years old and now there's too much inertia to change it. I am currently in my 30s and work for $LARGE_COMPANY doing IT disaster recovery planning.

I have had an affinity for technology from an uncomfortably early age, successfully using a Mac for drawing and games by age 3, and competently exploring (and destroying) MS-DOS and Windows before kindergarten. Computing interests intersected with gaming and creativity over time and I've explored all kinds of different things - game development, music, retrocomputing, art, you name it. I'm constantly jumping between random projects. Now I'm kind of a jack of all trades, but master of none - making this site an interesting smorgasboard of goodies.

The name "Wafflenet" comes from an off-the-cuff suggestion for a Wi-Fi network name in 2007 - and then it stuck. Having used it internally for years, I decided to grab the domain name several years later when I needed one, and that's that!
